IPD Corrupted
Dear Admins,
Can anyone be kind enough to share with the the document used for fixing/ recreating a corrupted IPD on HPUX 11i.
My swlist is not working and strongly guess my IPD is corrupted

The most common reason for swxxxxx commands to fail is bad hostname lookup which might mean that you have a network problem. It's also possible than someone has rm'ed files in /var/adm/sw --- and the very data needed to fix your problem is (or more properly was) located in, you guessed it, var/adm/sw. In any event, because of the nature of your problem, the best option if the IDB is corrupted is to restore from backup.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
