Java applet doesn't start with JRE 1.5

Hi all.
I have a problem on a PA-RISC system
with HP-UX 11.23.
I have mozilla 1.7.13 with jre 1.5.0.01.
When I connect to a web page with a java applet embedded through hmtl tag, and signed with a Verisign certificate, the JRE plugin raises the certificate approval prompt.
After that I click on 'YES', the applet doesn't start. All is hanging. I have verified that the applet start() method is never invoked.
The same applet works well if I use the JRE 1.4.2.
I've atteched the ouput of the command
"swlist -l patch"
