java cpu consumption.

hello,
i have an OAS10G Release1 installed on a hp-ux 11.11. we have detected that many java processes consume a huge amount of cpu.
is anyone know why after a period of time java processes like ( oas/oas9.0.4/jdk/bin/PA_RISC2.0/java -server -Djava.security.policy=/oas/oas9.0.4/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/config/java2.policy -Djava.awt.headless=true -Xmx512M -Xbootclasspath^/p:/oas/oas9.0.4/vbroker4/lib/vbjboot.jar )
consume all the cpu.


the java version is:
java version "1.4.2.05"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2.05-040917-16:58)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.4.2 1.4.2.05-040917-18:54-PA_RISC2.0 PA2.0 (aCC_AP), mixed mode)
