Java Virtual Machine

As a prerequisite for another 3rd party software I would need to install Java Virtual Machine (JVM) version 1.2.2 or later on
my UNIX server (HP-UX 11.00 64bit).
Question:
- Is this software somewhere free of charge?
- Where can I download JVM
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Java Virtual Machine

Java products are free for download:

http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/index.html

Find all products there and install the patches too.

Re: Java Virtual Machine

Thanks a lot for the quick response.
I downloaded the software and tried to install it via swinstall.
Unfortunately it came up with the following error message:
The depot ... exists but is currently empty.
Please advice on what could cause this problem.
Thanks,
Roman

Re: Java Virtual Machine

It sounds likes your download did not complete successfully. Try downloading it again.

Once theh download is done, make sure the size you have matches the size that HP says it should be.

Re: Java Virtual Machine

Thank you very much for your feedback.

In the meanwhile I downloaded the software
two times and cksum never matched with HP's value.
Procedure:
- Download from Web side to local workstation
(Download completed successful)
- ftp to UNIX server (mode: binary)
- run cksum
--> checksum never matched
