JetAdmin print problem

I'm using JetAdmin under HP-UX 10.20 to print to a network printer. One of our users kicked off a print job which the printer was powered off and the audit file was flooded with message. The following message showed up in the audit log 3 times per millisecond:

Has anyone seen problems like this with the lp command?
