jetadmin setup

I have a HP_UX 11.11 system having just freshly installed the OS. I have just installed jetadmin and am trying to setup the printers.

When using SAM or the command line when I try to enable bootp I get the message:

/usr/sbin/setup_tftp: Problem updating /etc/services.
No such file or directory (errno = 2)

The services file does exist with permissions r--r--r--

Any suggestions what might be going wrong?

Re: jetadmin setup

You say you are using jetadmin. It has been replaced by "Hewlett-Packard JetDirect printer Installer for Unix " product J4189-11001B version E.10.18.

Re: jetadmin setup

Check to see if 'tftp' and 'bootp' are NOT commented out in /etc/inetd.conf and /etc/services. If you need to make changes then run 'inetd -c' after you save.

Also, are you logged in as 'root'?

Is /etc/services owned by 'bin:bin'?

Here is some 'tftp' documentation.
