Re: Jfs Release version

Hi,

Is not it this what you are looking for?

#swlist |grep -i veritas

fstyp will only display layout version. The above command will show product version.

Re: Jfs Release version

Devender - that's the "Volume Manager" - not JFS version - same mix up I made above...

Re: Jfs Release version

Need someone from HP to confirm if the following proves the correct version:

On a 3.5 system:

# what /usr/conf/lib/libvxfs.a |grep vx_info
vxfs:src/common/kernel/base/vx_info.h 3.56.59.1

On a 3.3 system:

# what /usr/conf/lib/libvxfs.a |grep vx_info
vxfs:src/common/kernel/base/vx_info.h 3.30.19.5

Nelson - can you check yours with the one you upgraded?

Re: Jfs Release version

The following will hopefully and undoubtedly aid in proving that JFS/VxFS 3.5 is on an 11.11 system and ACTIVE.

If you have an 11.11 System and JFS/VxFS 3.5 was applied - your kernel should show it:

root# what /stand/vmunix|grep libvxfs
VxFS 3.5 for HP-UX 11.11 libvxfs35.a

Note that addition of JFS/VxFS 3.5 to an 11.11 system DOES not Change merely changes libvxfs.a to libvxfs35.a.

On an 11.11 System that was not updgraded to 3.5:

# what /stand/vmunix|grep libvxfs
$Revision: libvxfs.a: CUPI80_BL2000_1108_2 Wed Nov 8 10:59:22 PST 2000 $

Hope this heps in addition to the earlier swlist materials posted.
