jrun connector protocol error

Hi
I am getting a jrun connector protocol error when I try to fetch some records form database onto a web page.This works with less number of records but when the number of records is more I get this error.
In have checked the stdout.log after putting some debugging statments in code. The sqls are getting executed correctly.
I have increased the jrun connector time out period from default 300 secs to 1000sec (maximum). I have restarted jrun, but still jrun gets timed out in 300 secs. How to increase the timeout period.
