k570 boot up problem

Have a problem with booting up our old k570. After turning on the power the boot up seqence on the front panel in the seqence stops at INIT C440 PRI CNSL 01. What next or do I have faulty hardware? THX Otto

Re: k570 boot up problem

This thread has the exact error message you are receiving:

Though the answer assigned no points there is a reasonable chance that a solution for you is in the thread. Just for grins, reset your console and any attached printers.

Re: k570 boot up problem

Do you have a console connected? Just after this message is displayed you should see a firmware menu displayed on the console.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: k570 boot up problem

When you see error C440 mean the system is
looking for console. Make sure you have an HP
terminal or a laptop hookup as console.
