I will be updating a kernel with:

semmni = 1024

can someone tell me if this dynamic and what is the best way to tune?

I checked an 11i v1 machine and it does not appear to by dynamic.

Mine is set for 64 but i'm not running any nasty databases or anything on it.

You really have to provide an OS with this kind of question because every new release has more dynamic parameters.

In my 11.23, it is set as semmni=2048 and its running fine.
