Re: Lan Connectivity

Hi Saneesh,

Not sure what you exactly mean by this, but try: lanscan command, that should give you for all lan cards the status if it's up (running) or not. Of course you can use lanadmin command as well (to reset for example the card and try again).

If you are talking about clients trying to connect to a certain port, most times this is an application issue, check your application's configuration files.

If you tell a few more details might be easier to help you :-)

Best regards,

Peter.

Re: Lan Connectivity

Hi Saneesh,

I would presume the problem is due to duplicate IP address in your network.

check the nettl.LOG00 by formatting it

netfmt -Nlf /var/adm/nettl.LOG00 > /tmp/nettl.log

look for phrase "trying to be our address" in this /tmp/nettl.log . If you find, this is the evidence of the duplicate IP. then trace the MAC address given there.

With regards,
Mohan.

Re: Lan Connectivity

BTW, I assumed that you have already checked the LAN card, The Switch ports and Duplex/speed settings for any problems.

Re: Lan Connectivity

This seems to be speed mismatching problem... check the speed of your card & switch... Both should be same.. FULL DUPLEX not AUTO.....
