LANADMIN Operation Status value

I am currently working on a serever and do not understand what Operation Status value. Can anyone update me

It is just telling you the state of the interface: up(1) or down(0).

Its Just self explanatory
This tells ths status of whether UP (Operational) or
Down (Non Operational)

Hi Robert,

three possible status for Operation Status in lanadmin output:

up(1) Ready to pass packets

down(2) Not operative

testing(3) In test mode

We've taken all of our HP's out of service so I can't look at a real example but lanadmin
lan
display

should show two lines with UP. One means that the NIC is correctly programmed and the other means the link light is on (so if you get UP Down then look for a bad cable (or cable plugged into the wrong NIC), bad port, bad NIC, bad adapter).
