LDAP user limit
Does anyone know what will happen to LPAD if you go over the 250,000 user limit that comes with the product for no additional cost. We are approaching that limit and I was just curious if the engine stops running or you get warning in the logs that you have gone over the licensed user limit.
Thanks,
Eric Hess

Re: LDAP user limit
Shalom Eric,
Any such server would be extremely slow long before the limit was hit.
The engine would not stop running according to documentation from Red Hat. The user add would error out with a message, whether or not its meaningful I can not say.
The logs would also show the error.

Re: LDAP user limit
Hi Eric,
The licensing is honor based. The code should not encounter errors or other logging issues.
And contrary to Steven's assertion, there is definitely no performance or scalability concern with 250,000 users. Known installations are > 20,000,000 entries.
