Licences On HP-UX.

Hi Guys,

One of my client needs to know how many licenced product from HP are installed on his server,He is intrested more on HP-UX licences.
Is there any way i can find it out.

Post swlist output and we can tell you. There may well be some more elegant way to figure it out but I just rely on my knowledge of what is a licensed product and what is free.

Hi,

Your client has bought al license for the following products

B3901BA B.11.11.12 HP C/ANSI C Developer's Bundle for HP-UX (S800)
B3913DB C.03.60 HP aC++ Compiler (S800)

Al the other are free or included in the HPUX license

The fact that the ANSI C and aC++ packages are installed doesn't guarantee that the packages were purchased, unless that is the way it came from HP. Once you have the codeword to unlock an application from the CD you can install it on any system whether or not you paid for the licenses, or all the licenses for all the CPUs in it.

He also has the Mission Critical Operating Environment which bundles in a number of licensed products that can also be sold separately. They include:
MirrorDisk/UX
GlancePlus Pak (includes GlancePlus and Measureware, aka OV Performance Agent)
OnLineJFS
ServiceGuard
Workload Manager (include Process Resource Manager)
