LOCALE environment settings
Hi, Anyone help ??
system RP2450
op HP-UX11.00
I have been asked by DBA to ensure that the locale settings in our system are set so that display of dates in our db2 sessions is in format of dd/mm/yy. They are currently set to mm/dd/yy.
I have checked our setlocale in man pages but am unsure how this all works.
I tried setting the LC_TIME env variable to en_GB.ios88591 - exported it in the dba's .profile and this did not produce desired result. I think I am totally misunderstanding how this whole locale stuff works.
Would someone please suggest what I may do to get the date format = dd/mm/yy in the db2 database?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Maria.

Re: LOCALE environment settings
Hi Maria:
First verify your supported locales:
# locale -a
Try, for example, this:
# LC_TIME=en_GB.iso885915@euro date
Regards!
