Login Problem
I have a problem to login locally on the server!
But using same password for root i m able to login remotely . i really wondering how it ia like???!!!!!
Can anybody help me out for these!!!!!!!1

What kind of problem? What happens when you try to login via the console? What messages are displayed? Are there any errors?
Are there any "special" characters in your password? If so, one of those could be a problem.

check your /etc/securetty file.
it should contain list tty's that root can log in. Make sure the word -> console is there.
PS : really appreciate if u could assign some points if this answer ur question.

Thanks for the suggestion but, i already took a trip on security file !!!! no errors found in the file. and moreover this problem is after changing the password for root.

Before coming to forum i have tried all the possibilities, including K/B (Good K/B) changing and also reverting password to old one.........
