Hi.. when i run lpstat command appears "no entries" which means that queue has been added ... but in one server appeared the followign ... what is the meaning?
$ lpstat PRINTER1
printer queue for PRINTER1
Windows LPD Server
Printer \\120.23.34.54\PRINTER1
Owner Status Jobname Job-Id Size Pages Priority
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
no entries
is that redirected to a windows server???
why is showed "Owner, Status, etc .." and in the other ones not ???
Thanks.

Solution
The information you reference is obtained from the REMOTE print server, whatever it is, when you do an lpstat for a printer defined as REMOTE.
So, in your case, yes the command is querying the Windows server to attempt to get the information. The information retrieved will depend entirely on the remote server.
