lsof command in HP-UX

lsof command in HP-UX

Hi,

The lsof command is for knowing the open ports in the system , but whcih version contains this command , as i didnot find this command
in HP-UX 10.20 and B.11.00

Any idea.

lsof does not come with the HP-UX operating system. You can, however, download and install it from here:

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/lsof-4.71/

Hp does not supply this utility. You will need to download and install it from any of the HP-UX Porting Centre's.

For 10.20, it's no longer supplied as a binary so you will need to download the source and compile/link it but it's very easy to do. The 11.x versions are 32-bit only and will not riun under 64-bit 11.x so again the answer is to download the source.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

I have downloaeded. And will be installting shortly. Hope i ll be able to install in 10.20

I found a binary on HP's DSPP site it's called ddk_misc_tool1_11.1.0.depot. It works on our 11i 64 bit systems. There are two other tools in the package.
