Re: LTO3
HP-UX 10.20 is not the OS on the list of Operating System Support by LTO3 (or Ultrium 960).
Goto this url :
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/tapecompatibility.html
Open the document 'EBS Compatibility matrix - tape automation compatibility':
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/storageworks/techdoc/ebs/EBSMatrix-0106.pdf
Hope this information can help you.
Cheers,
AW

Re: LTO3
But, if you have a gigabit network, you may be able to connect an LTO3 drive to an 11i machine and use remote backups, either by putting the remote hostname in the fbackup command, or by using a network-centric, multi-streaming backup application, such as Veritas Netbackup etc.
