LUN problem

Hi people, here is the situation. I have hp virtual array 7110. And i have 356 gb space on it. Now, it is attached to two nodes to fulfill a cluster environment.
Now, i made lun0 of 10 megs and then lun1 of 20 gb on it.
Lun0 shows as c1t1d0 and lun1 shows as c1t1d1. I have put lvm on it. Now, i made lun2 but when i ioscan -fnC disk i dont see any other disk like c1t1d2 to put lvm on it or for that matter vxvm on it.
Now, how do i go about configuring lun2.

I am not sure how this array works, but try checkign if it is terminated properly..
And try some reconfig.. may help

This array is fibre channel, so there is no termination problem.
My first thought is security or zoning.
Do you use WWN based zoning on the switch or security manager on the array?

You must have just missed a step. masking or zoning.

You have to use the alias name for the array.

Do a

# armdiscover

and you will get something like

HP-A6189A /dev/rscsi/c5t0d0 00SG200TT000 myserver array123

In this case, the alias is "array123" and you have to type

# armdsp -a array123

Please use your own alias.

Re: LUN problem

looks like you have 2 different VAs connected, both with a LUN2.
Now go to the commandview GUI -> LUN Management -> Secure Manager tab and look at the bottom of the screen if Secure Manager status is enabled or disabled.

If this is enabled, you have to configure the access properties. If not, you have to check the fibre channel switch for WWN based zoning.
