lvm problem
we are using hp-ux 11i lvm root disk . and i want to convert hp-ux lvm root disk to veritas root disk. is it possible .if yes then how

3./etc/vx/bin/vxcp_lvmroot -v -p c3t10d0 c3t8d0
here c3t10d0 is the lvm root disk
c3t8d0 is the vxvm root disk

i have only one disk c0t0d0. we have make thev root disk by using lvm. i have no any sapve disk. so is it possible to convert it into vxvm root disk

What are you tryig to achieve with the veritas product? Are you just adding bolt on veritas stuff from hp or did you buy the full veritas suite?
I am curious if you are trying to use it to resize your filsystems, because the first 3 must be contigous and veritas isnt going to help this.
Also you really should talk to your managment about getting a second root disk for a mirror, because if that disk goes bad your going to loose your OS.
Make sure you do make_tape_recoveries at least once a week, so you can recover. Good luck with your upgrade
