Within your last ~80 threads you posted at least 6 times the subject LVM - the link above you'll find in many of your other threads.

IMHO, everything is covered by this manual very well.

boot disks/non-boot disks - mirrored/non-mirrored - hotswap/non-hotswap - boot disks for PA-RISC/boot disks for Integrity ...

What is your problem?

Install new disk.
# vgcfgrestore -n /dev/vgXX /dev/rdsk/cXtXdX
# vgchange -a y /dev/vgXX
# vgsync /dev/vgXX
# mkboot /dev/rdsk/cXtXdX
# mkboot -a "hpux lq" /dev/rdsk/cXtXdX
# shutdown -r -y 0

@spex: In respect of your post, you simply assume this is a PA-RISC system. Why?
What if the LVM OLR patch is installed?
Your procedure won't work.
Doing this on an Integrity will increase the problem.

I cannot asnwer this question, because there is a lot asnwers for the same question in the ITRC.
Indrajit, definately I will suggest reading the documents. and also please assing points to the people who spent time writting answers.
