working on HP 9000 unix 10.2 and 11
problem with "root" mailbox
what's difference beetween mail,elm and
icon mail on CDE
should i configure something to receive
root message in only one mailbox and get all
of them with one command ?

you probably already have one mailbox (probably /var/mail/root).
sendmail, mailx, mail, elm, ... are just utilities to read your mailbox and send mails. You can even use them all together.

mail,elm or mailx are commands to read or send mails. mails to root will be stored in /var/mail/root.
If u want to redirect ur root mails to ur exchange mail id then u will have to configure sendmail.

Different mail interface tools (like UPS, Fedex, mail etc;-) ) having the same source as mailbox.

There is only one mailbox per user in the system. So, you dont need to configure anything. The mailbox is located in /var/spool/mail/
