make_depots errors
Hi
I am trying to copy the December 2004 11i OS cd onto our ignite server but it is coming up with many errors such as this example. The file in question is on the DVD and I have been able to manually copy it.
ERROR: Cannot open source file
"/SD_CDROM/hpuxwsAPACHE/APACHE/opt/hpws/apache/manual/style/css/manual-zip-100pc.css"
to copy it. No such file or directory (2).
I've mounted the DVD and the command I'm running is as below. I also tried not mounting and using the device file but had the same result.
make_depots -r B.11.11 -s /SD_CDROM

Re: make_depots errors
Hi Richard,
What is the OS version of your ignite server?
Have you applied all patches like RockRidge patches ?
If not try doing that ....

Re: make_depots errors
Hi Richard,
is this really the identical path like you see when you copy manually?
If yes, then maybe it's a timing error when the system is trying to read from the DVD.
You also could try to copy all files manually from the DVD to hard disc and then make_depot from the disc file system.
