Re: make_recovery

Hi,

Do you mean all the files on the tape made by make_recovery? Or the files on a system after you have used the tape to Ignite the system? All the systems I have Ignited seem to have the correct owner and group.

When I explore the /home and the 2 filesyste
which has created and included by VG00, the
files are all changed to root/sys ? I'm not

Re: make_recovery

Hi

make_recovery won't change any file and permission.

There may be some other issue.

Re: make_recovery

Hi,

make_tape_recovery is totally different than make_recovery.

#make_recovery -Av (will backup the entire VG in verbose mode).

#make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/omn ( will backup the entire VG in verbose and interactive mode).

for more info. check the man page.
#man make_tape_recovery

Hope this help.

Re: make_recovery

Oops, just minor correction. It should be /dev/rmt/0mn *Zero, not the letter o*;^).
