map drives

i have a hp superdom with 4 n-par and 8 v-pars.4 dat drives are attached to the system.how can i know which dat is mapped with which v-par???

Shalom,

iocan -fnCtape

Run within the vpar this will show the scsi address of the tape drive.

You could also run dd and see which one lights up.

do you have maper i/o at superdome? . You can compare with phisical I?O at superdome with output from vparstatus.

for a simple way, run backup for each server which have dds tape.

If you are able to follow the cables it would be easy. Just run "olrad -q" and compare it to "ioscan -fnCtape".

If not, put a tape into the drive (one at a time) and access the tape. e.g. "diskinfo"
