Re: Maximum package limit hit... need help
It is planned to increase the limit of packages allowed on a SG cluster (probably to 60 packages maximum) in a (near) future SG release, but this requires that SG needs to be optimized in terms of resource usage to allow that.

Re: Maximum package limit hit... need help
Let me tell you that I've never seen such configuration! 30 Packages on a 3 nodes cluster?! Isn't that just too much?
good luck.

Re: Maximum package limit hit... need help
The others have already given to bad news. But maybe a suggestion would be ok, if you don't mind the intrusion.
I agree that this many packages on a small cluster is 'unusual'. You might recall though, that a package can have mulitple volume groups, but a volume group can only belong to one package.
So...I was just thinking that maybe there could be a way of redoing some of your packages and see what you could group together into a single package safely. It would take quite a bit of work and planning, but it might be something to consider.
Maybe some far more experiences MC/SG expert could suggest something on this....is this do-able ???
Like I said, just a thought,
Rita

Re: Maximum package limit hit... need help
Failing that, I am afraid the only option is to have a new cluster created on different nodes

Re: Maximum package limit hit... need help
I am not really sure how/what is your configuration but 28 packages (that means 28 relocatable IP address, 28 VGs) on 3 nodes. Consolidation is THE way to go or will have to configure the existing package to startup (if they are doing similar tasks) new tasks as well.
-Happy consolidating
