MC/ServiceGuard initial setup / test

Good morning all,

I have a quick question in regards to ServiceGuard. This is a new install on HP Itanium SuperDome HP-UX 11.23v2. Disks have not been allocated from the SAN yet, but I would like to test the Network failover portion with say "xclock". Have it running on one server, yank network cable and have it start on the other server. Does anyone know how I would go about creating a package to do this (not each command, cmgetconf, cmapplyconf, etc., just a quick descriptin in theory on how I would do this?)

Thanks in advance, Andy

Re: MC/ServiceGuard initial setup / test

simply create a package, but do not add in any VG's, Lvols or FS's. You also do not need an ip address, but should have a subnet listed in the configuration file so that it monitors the health of that subnet.

Then set up the xclock as a service (I think it is supplied as an example in the files) and make sure it can set the DISPLAY environment correctly
