Would a failure of a memory card cause a failover of a Serviceguard package?

Re: Memory Failure
Hi,
In normal circumstances (where you would have some entries in the PDT ... we have this on several systems, it's a bit hard to replace every time we have a single bit error) this wouldn't cause a package to swap. If however the errors are sever enough to panic the system ... the packages would be swapped (logic :-).
Hope this helps,
Tom Geudens

Solution
What type of failure?
If a single bit error, the system should handle this and simply correct it, and possibly mark it in the Page Deallocation Table (if there is space).
If you get double bit errors or complet failures, this owuld normally cause the node to fail/panic, in which case your package should failover.
Keep in mind, it is not a function of SG to protect against a memory failure but rather that of the system itself.
