memory part number

Is there a way to find out the part number or model number (the A123456 number) of the memory installed in a system from the command line (like rather than taking the system apart)?

Thanks,
SD

Re: memory part number

Perhaps the Support Tools Manager (xstm, cstm, etc) can help you. At the very least you should be able to find out the size of the SIMMS/DIMMS which you can check against partsurfer and come up with the number that way:

Re: memory part number

Depending on your system you will get this information from diagnostics or the MPs FRU information.

Hope this helps!
