Memory utilisation

Dear all,
Thanks for your response for my previous Q

How can I see the memory & swap
utilisation clearly?

I don't have Glance Plus!

Harry:

Use 'sar' particularly -w for swap information; -v for some key values of system tables; and -m for memory statistics.

'swapinfo' is also good for quick looks at swap.

Look at the man pages for both commands.

Try vmstat.

vmstat - report virtual memory statistics

SYNOPSIS
vmstat [-dnS] [interval [count]]

Use "top" also. You can direct the out put to a file.

top -f file
