Re: MetroCluster

Currently, MetroCluster does not support using SGeRAC.
You need to have an Extended cluster or use ContinentalClusters.

Re: MetroCluster

Hi

Moreover, We already have SRDF ( from EMC ) do we need to buy Continental Cluster software from HP or do we need only the toolkit to configure.

Re: MetroCluster

Extended clusters are just Serviceguard over an exteneded distance. Continental Clusters is a separate purchaseable product.
Take a read of teh Designing Disaster Tolerant Clusters manual at:

Re: MetroCluster

Well with extended clusters you do not use the SRDF functionality, you need to use mirroring.
In CC configurations, you can use the SRDF functionality, but then you need to buy the CC product AND the Metrocluster EMC/SRDF product.

NOT cheap.
