mirror disk problem ,fc path missing
Hi ,
Our setup is 2*rp3440 connected to 2*DS2405 .the server is configured as two node cluster .All disk are mirrored between this 2 DS
Now the problem is in one of the cluster node we are missing one path (all disk connected to one fc are not visible ).the missing disk belong to the first disk in the Vg .now the Vg is running with mirrored disk . Now all LV's are in stale state .Other node is perfactly ok (disk belongs to both storage are visible ).
Now we need to switch over the package from the problematic system to the good one where both disk are visible .
Now my question is if i do a package switch how the system start react .will it do the mirroring from the disk which was active on the other system to the disk which was not active or viceversa. The confusion as the problematic disk is first in the VG and lvmtab .
Looking for your valuable suggestion
Thanks in Advance
Ajeesh

Re: mirror disk problem ,fc path missing
you should be able to failover the cluster to the second node without any problem. And it will start the vgsync process its own for the stale PEs.

Re: mirror disk problem ,fc path missing
Need to see more.
a) run ioscan to refresh the attached device paths then run "..ioscan -fnkC disk.." and attach report.
b) also attach vgscan -p -a -v (* -p preview, don't run vgscan -a -v without -p*)
c) also attach vgdisplay -v /dev/vg##
d) finally, and this is important, run this command "...dd if=/dev/dsk/c#t#d# of=/dev/null count=1000...*)
