Re: Missing VUE files

Kevin,

What's VUE? What's 10.20?

Seriously, I don't have any 10.20 machines or even any 10.20 install CD's to check with, but I think you can select and re-install VUE by itself. It's buried in the OS install but if you use "open item" on that you should be able to drill down to it.

HTH,
Pete

Re: Missing VUE files

out of interest what files are missing.

fyi the vue filesets, as with CDE are entirely on the core O/S CD.

fyi VUE diagnostic = dr_vue : found in /usr/contrib/bin/X11 .... but now maybe a good time to try CDE

NB both VUE and CDE can exist on the same system since by default CDE starts at run-level 3 VUE at 4.

Re: Missing VUE files

10.20 was the first release where CDE was the default. VUE was an optional install. If you didn't select it, you got CDE and no VUE.

As one of the earlier responses said, both VUE and CDE can co-exist on the same system. The /etc/rc.config.d/desktop file controls which desktop gets loaded at boot time.
