model script for printer LJ-8550DN
Where can I get an original model script for the HP Color LaserJet 8550DN?
The script "net_ljcolor" which is offered by HP on http://www.hp.com/go/unixmodelscripts or ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/modelscripts is quite a mess. The comments in the script indicate that it has been adapted by several persons for their proper configurations apparently. There are a lot of references to directories or commands which don't exist in a common HP-UX environment. The result are a lot of error messages in /var/adm/lp/log. It's difficult to determine which messages are caused by the messy model script or by an common printer error.
So I wish to install a clean model script including only the necessary commands. Where can I get it?
Thanks in advance,
Fritz
