modem giving problem
Dear Friends,
Here we are facing a problem to configure a modem to
hpux machine serial port. There we can redirect text
files to the divice file and can see the output at the
screen. But unable to see the login prompt through the
serial port (direct connect hyper terminal with a
cross cable or modem dialed screen with
hyperterminal). /etc/inittab entry is as follows.
a0:234:respawn:/usr/sbin/getty -r -t 60 -h ttyd0p0
9600
pls help me on this

Look at this URL. You will find some useful hints for the modem config.
