I have an rx86xx--Integrity OS HP-UX 11v2 Virtual Partition Software 4.0x
I have built a new vpar from the npar. I set the mode vparenv -m vPars Reboot Iterupted the load and did fs0: hpux Interuppted hpux /stand/vpmon mon> vparload -p vpar0 It booted Up to this point all worked great. Now if I need to reboot vpar0 it will not boot. I can interupt it and issue the commands I did above but I need it to load automatically. What did I miss?
Did you set it to autoboot? Did you change the auto file to read: "boot vpmon -a" ? Have you checked to see the boot device is the first in the EFI boot list?
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!
please post the answers to Melvyn's questions and then please the complete log of boot phase.
>Now if I need to reboot vpar0 it will not boot.
It would be useful to see details of the boot phase to understand the reasons why it cannot boot. I'm thinking of a particular problem that I faced in the past, anyway please post the complete boot phase.
As per the manual, you need to change the autoboot file on the boot disk to contain the string "boot vpmon -a" to do this you use mkboot See page 170 onwards of http://docs.hp.com/en/T1335-90073/T1335-90073.pdf
