Monitoring tool
Can you recommend me a freeware tool to monitoring the percentage of use of CPU and memory, saving historical data?

about monitoring , you can use the EMS to monitor your hardware on your system , you can also monitor other stuff like file system .
about monitoring cpu , memory and saving historical data the best tool is perfview and measureware , the issue that the cost money , but you can try then to trial for 2 month , i thing this will be the best tools for you , remember that you can define in the perfview alert that you tell you on this issue .
i m not talking about OVO that will also do the job but this cost a lot of moeny .

You can use sar , top command to monitor too. You can combine all actions as required in a script too.
