SolutionYeah, you can put multiple OS's on a hard disk, and use something like Partition Magic to run one or more of the OS's. But not all at once. That will get REALLY ugly. There are some cross-platform utilities, like Lindows. But again they're ugly, and are only for the true masochist or the desperate.
I once had Windows 3.1 running in an X11 environment. It worked, but not well.
Sun used to sell (prolly still does) an AMD chip on a card that would fit inside their SPARC station and run Windows with a Unix wrapper. There's a guy here who is doing this and he loves it: its the only time he's never crashed a Win98 system.
FWIW: I wouldn't do this on a bet.

Re: multiple OS on RX2600 Itanium
To run Linux or Windows Server 2003 you need a system with IPF processors. (There is a PA-RISC Linux port, but I'm not sure how stable it is relative to the IPF stuff).
HP have announced TPC-C results for an IPF Superdome, but I don't know if the "formal" launch has taken place. I suspect that announcements for systems between the rx5670 and the IPF Superdome would be at some point in the not tooo distant future.

Re: multiple OS on RX2600 Itanium
I've got Debian Linux up and running on a C3000 workstation. Its stable, but the install was really, really HUGELY ugly. There are several gotcha's--the default install doesn't include IDE or USB drivers, so it has to use a dumb terminal and a SCSI drive. Getting all the drivers loaded and compiled was almost as frustrating as loading Win95.

Yeah, give me a call and we can compare quotes: five one two two four eight three one seven eight. I think we got a super deal on the ones we bought, but I'd like to see what you got.
Come to think of it: I've got a VAR taking me to lunch tommorrow (5/13) so the timing could be pretty good.
