My Virtual Machine can't bootup

Before, this VM is running well. After I reboot this VM, this server can not boot up.

The error message is as following.

[root@tstcg4vmhu1]# hpvmstart -p 8
hpvmstart: WARNING (host): Failed to bind to PPA '1'.
hpvmstart: WARNING (host): Failed to attach to PPA '2'.
hpvmstart: WARNING (host): Failed to attach to PPA '3'.
hpvmstart: WARNING (host): Failed to attach to PPA '4'.
hpvmstart: WARNING (host): Failed to attach to PPA '5'.

Anyone know what the problem it is?

Re: My Virtual Machine can't bootup

Shalom,

Not a lot of information.

PPA refers to network. Is the network card available and have link?

Re: My Virtual Machine can't bootup

I can start Virtual machine by

hpvmstart -F -p 8

It looks like this VM doesn't get enough system resource.

Re: My Virtual Machine can't bootup

I hope you read the man page for hpvmstart and understand the implications of using the -F option:

-F Forces the virtual machine to skip all the resource
checks. No warnings are issued. HP does not recommend
using the -F option because it can result in poor
virtual machine performance, oversubscription, or data
corruption, or it can cause the virtual machine to
hang.
