need help with netbackup data center

I am currently working on a migration of netbackup data center to a new hp server.

I was able to pull up a procedure from their website but it is for Solaris. I tried getting one for HP-UX but had no luck.

Has anyone done a migration like this where the hostname will stay the same ?

Here is the link to the procedure that I have for Solaris.

Any help would really be appreciated

Thanks

Shawn

Re: need help with netbackup data center

Shalom Shawn,

Netbackup procedures are generic. What works on Solaris should work on HP-UX. They don't use the standard SD/UX installer.

What is important to handle is the serial number migration. You may need to remove the old one via software. You may need to remove the configuration files that contain the serial numbers.

The only way to know that is to open a case with Veritas support.

Re: need help with netbackup data center

I have gone through this.

First dump your keys and their packages from the master server. The best way to do that is to print it from the master server.

I scratch the Master server and load the new Veritas, Then, I load the new software. (I even Ignite the whole Master server but I want clean Filesystems. ) Then I load the Veritas, license it, and then do the tpconfig...
