Re: Network Card Issue

run ioscan -fnClan to see it. what kind of Hardware do you have? Did you installed proper software / drivers ?

Re: Network Card Issue

lights both coming on at power up only means that your card is getting power. you need to install drivers for your system to recognize the network adapter. Without server type and network interface product number, it is impossible to tell you if your combination is compatible to each other. If they are compatible, you will need to dig up your HP applications media to find the right software to install the drivers.

Re: Network Card Issue

can you check /etc/rc.log for any errors and also check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log.

It looks like you got bad NIC

Re: Network Card Issue

Just a thought.

Pull out network cable and reboot it. Once it comes up, run ioscan -fnClan and see if you can see the NIC.

Re: Network Card Issue

If you know what is the model and type of NIC then you can search in HP website.
