Network interface fail over/load balance

I'm about to purchase a new L 3000 for a high availability application. Can anyone out there tell me how to go about configuring this box to have NIC fail over/load balancing capabilities and keep one name & IP address? Keep in mind I will not have IP routing /DNS enabled on this box b/c I have another server for that.

Thanks,
John
It was working fine when I left....what did you do?

Re: Network interface fail over/load balance

Check out the HP Auto Port aggregation software.

I think this may do want you want, but I'm not 100% certain.

Re: Network interface fail over/load balance

John,

Another way is to configure a single node cluster through MC/Service guard for automatic lan failure.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try
