Networking
I've installed a 100 Base network card (procduct = J3515AR) in a Dclass Server. Can someone tell me wich drivers/patches I've to install so the system will recognize the network card.
Afterwards is it possible to configure the card with sam ?

Re: Networking
First U will have to confirm that the H/W U have installed is compatible with server by looking the compatibility chart.
Secondly, U will have to install the appropriate driver for the NIC. This can be confirmed with this command
#ioscan -fn
The S/W state should be CLAIMED.
Then, Please install the patch for the 100 base T networking from application CD. Otherwise U will have problem while accessing the network.
Best of luck
Shahul

Re: Networking
arpa transport patch
lan cummulative patchg
100mb lancard specific patch
dependant on the OS you run (10.x , 11.x 11.i ... ) the patchnumbers might change so I couldn't put the number in here , if needed just consult the ITRC patch section , make sure to get all the dependant patches

Re: Networking
The driver for this lan card should be there on the 1st cd of the application cd set. The driver would be something like A3515 / B3515 / J3515 or something. Once you have installed the driver from the CD, you can configrue the printer through "SAM" if you want.
Hope this helps.
