Re: nfs server problem during a fresh installation
Anything there that has a value of 1, will need to be changed to have a value of 0.
Other things to check is the NIS setup. To turn that off go to /etc/rc.config.d/namesvrs

Re: nfs server problem during a fresh installation
rename the two scripts nfs.server and nfs.client
next time when you boot the machine it shouldnt run nfs.

Re: nfs server problem during a fresh installation
Change the entry in /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf file NFS_SERVER and NFS_CLIENT to 0 instead of 1 and restart /sbin/init.d/nfs.client
