							NFS Timeout problem

						Hello!
I use cifsclient to access the filesystem of a dvd jukebox connected to a NT server. There is a software running, SmartStore, which is creating a virtual filesystem out of the dvds in the jukebox.
When i access the filesystem the first time, i get a timeout error message in the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log:
Sep 14 16:06:59 hmljuke vmunix: NFS read failed for server DVDJUKE_HML: RPC: Timed out
If i the access it again, it works.
I tried to increase the following timeout values in /etc/opt/cifsclient/cifsclient.cfg:
connectTimeout = 15000 // timeout for netbios connection in ms
requestTimeout = 120000 // timeout for SMB reply in ms
nfsTimeout = 1205 // initial nfs timeout in 1/10 seconds
But that didn't solve my problem.
Who can give me a hint which timeouts i have to increase to solve this problem?
Thx in advance,
Christoph

Try using the preexec or root preexec command to
access the device before the mount comes up.
This is coverd in the Using Samba book downloadable
from the Samba project or available in your local
book store.
