NFS Version 3

What does it take to install NFS version 3 on 11.11 systems. Currently running NFS version 2 on all HP-UX systems. Need to be able handle files GT 2 gig on NFS mount.

Re: NFS Version 3

Shalom,

You need to enable largefiles on the actual filesystem being exported to make this work after upgrading to NFS v3. the upgrade is not trivial and requires a system boot if I'm not mistaken.

Re: NFS Version 3

I believe NFS v3 is standard on HP-UX 11.11. I don't think there is anything you need to do.

You may just need to change the NFS version that is used when the filesystem mounts. Have a look at the mount_nfs man page for details.
