nfskd, nfsktcpd daemons up and down

we installed new servers(both RX and RP).

our monitoring system never picked this message unless if server is offline.

but recently monitoring agent keeps picking up message, "nfskd or nfsktcpd is down.

everytime I check the system that daemon is up and even if daemon is down there is no problem with nfs mounted file systems.

I would like to know if this will cause nfs mounted filesystem problems or it is normal.

I hardly find articles about these daemons anywhere.

Do you have any idea? Thank you all in advance...

Re: nfskd, nfsktcpd daemons up and down

Hi:

THe startup (or not) of the NFS daemons is controlled by '/etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf'. See the commentary therein.

Regards!
