NIS Question

Hi Team:

We use NIS on 11.0. We want to implement Password Aging. What is the workaround? Also does NIS support /etc/default/security file so that we could implement PASSWORD_HISTORY_DEPTH feature. We do not want to go trusted. Please Help. Thanks in Advance.

Cheers
Brian.

Re: NIS Question

For information on the /etc/default/security file do a 'man security'.

From the security man page:

"The password history depth configuration is on a system basis and is supported in trusted system for users in files repository only. This feature does not support the users in NIS or NISPLUS repositories."

I also don't think there is an option in NIS for password aging.
