Nis slave problem
I have a NIS master and a Slave. On master if i do ypcat ypservers it shows both the master and slave. But on slave ypcat ypservers returns nothing. I removed some of the other slaves that were attached to the master by makedbm -u /var/yp/ypservers, but i accidentely ran the makedbm command on the slave. would that be the culprit? if so what is the solution?
Thanks
Brian

Re: Nis slave problem
check at the slave if you have in /var/yp a directory with the name of your domain, if yes delete it.
Then do a ypmake from the master.
